Walking meditation

Walking meditation can be just as profound as sitting meditation. It can bring you joy and peace while you practice it.
Here in this photo the kids are walking a labyrinth as a form of walking meditation.
A labyrinth is an ancient symbol that is related to wholeness. It brings together the imagery of the circle and the spiral into a winding circle that becomes a purposeful path. The Labyrinth represents a journey to our own center and back again out into the world. Labyrinths are ancient tools that have been used for both meditation and prayer.
